About The Tribe:

The Tribe is part of the Making Waves Foundation’s fleet. Since it commenced operations in Brisbane, we have taken almost 500 guests with a disability or living with disadvantage out sailing for an amazing experience on Moreton Bay through the Winds of Joy program.

The crew are racing to raise awareness and, as proud members of the RQYS community, join in this epic regatta!

About Circe:

Circe – a Mottle 33  – Joe Adams design built by Naut Yachts in 1984 – These boats were designed as a cruiser/racer for their era. Circe is currently moored at Southport Yacht Club (SYC), competing in Thursday Twilights and Sunday Offshore Races and other Offshore Regattas and Events. Circe has had some success in 2024 winning the Brisbane Womens Keel boat Cup (PHS) and the summer Twilight Series 2024 at SYC (PHS).

About No Secrets:

‘No Secrets’ is a Dehler Optima 101, built and launched in 1985. She is a  production family cruiser racer designed for Dehler Yachts by Van de Stadt with significantly less sail area than her sistership the DB1, a competitive 3/4 ton IOR racer, and a more comfortable fitout downstairs.

About Velocita:

We are interested in supporting this series and need to know more in order that we can confirm that a team will be available for us.  We have been sailing the boat for three years now and we are finally working out what works and what does not.

 


Club Access

RQYS Reception (located on the left as you enter the club) is available to assist with access between the hours of 7am and 7pm. Note for some events we may issue access codes ahead of time keep an eye for any email correspondence which may include this process.

Ample and varied accommodation is available in the local area. Early bookings are recommended.

 

The Manly Marina Cove Motel is located on the grounds of RQYS – www.manlymarinacove.com

 

Limited camping facilities may be available in the grounds of RQYS.

North Sails (Sailmaker) – Club Sponsor North Sails is located just down the road from the club at 1/264 Tingal Road, an 8 minute drive away.

Muir Marine QLD (Chandlery) – Muir Marine have been serving the Marine Industry for over 100 years and supply everything in boating equipment. Located at 453 Esplanade a 3 minute drive from the club.

IGA Manly Village – IGA is the closest grocery store to RQYS located just 3 minute drive away, at the corner of Stratton Tce & Cambridge Parade.

Manly Village Medical – Is the closest medical centre to RQYS, located at 25 Cambridge Parade a 2 minute drive away.
